and help to improve and build upon its vast inventory of high-quality content. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills as well as a thorough knowledge of SEO best practices and ability to communicate well with stakeholders across the business. The Managing Editor is the Executive Editor’s right hand and works to ensure the editorial team produces high-quality health and wellness content that informs and engages readers.
You’ll Report To: Executive Editor
A typical day as a Managing Editor might include:
Organizing and managing LIVESTRONG.com’s editorial calendar and ensuring all content meets high quality and SEO standards prior to publishing.
Managing day-to-day editorial operations, including assigning, editing, and packaging content, communicating with social, video, and branded content teams, and making sure content is produced, published, and promoted on time and within budget.
Overseeing execution of the site’s SEO strategy and workflow, including coordinating and communicating with external teams to keep things running smoothly.

Well-versed in both health journalism and SEO best practices, you know all about the fine art of creating evergreen content that is as appealing and informative to readers as it is to Google’s algorithms. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with and mentoring junior editors so they can grow professionally. While this role is largely managerial in nature, top editing and occasional writing are still important parts of the job.
