POSITION SUMMARY:

The Editorial Manager is part of PVH Communications, a multi-faceted team responsible for integrated marketing, editorial and communications. We build our corporate brand, amplify our corporate reputation, drive communications & engagement, and create content for our channels.

The Editorial Manager is responsible for PVH Comm’s daily editorial operations, including oversight of the content calendar. This key role connects communications throughout the organization, interacting with communication and division partners across the globe. This person should have a big-picture understanding of our company, the larger culture in which we operate and the evolving communications landscape.

This person helps manage and executive on a cohesive strategy for our news, social media and internal communications. This role requires a deep understanding of PVH’s key audiences and how to engage them, using best practices and metrics. The Manager will work closely with colleagues in content creation, editorial, internal communication and associate experience to develop a long-term strategy to effectively articulate the company’s many stories that fuel the Power of PVH and its corporate reputation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Maintain and foster relationships with key functions across the organization to develop and advise on content that will meet their communication needs while serving value to our target audiences: associates, prospective talent, investors, media, partners and conscious consumers
  • Draft editorial and associate communications in support of PVH’s purpose and priorities and publish across multiple corporate channels including PVH.com, email, our corporate intranet and our associate engagement app
  • General understanding of writing for digital platforms and optimizing reach with SEO
  • Maintain day-to-day social platforms and track metrics to inform our strategy.
  • Manage the creation of corporate communications materials, including quarterly earnings and annual report.
  • Bring our executive voices to life through multi-media communications ranging from internal notes and memos, talking points, presentations, town halls, videos, etc.
  • Partner with the internal communications team on internal event activations and department strategy development.
  • Point of contact for maintaining the global editorial calendar and global strategic initiatives calendar, overseeing and advising how we show up across our platforms.
  • Maintain a pulse on all senior leadership and associate external engagement opportunities and advise on which will positively impact our corporate reputation.
  • Execute internal call to action (CTA) campaigns for associates across the organization, in partnership with the PVH Foundation.
  • Master best practices of platforms, media trends and user engagement while supporting community management and reporting.
  • Liaison with our monitoring and corporate reputation vendors to have a pulse on how the company is perceived externally and compared to our peers
  • Provide general support to the communications team priority projects and initiatives as a strategic partner and execute at a tactical level.
  • Keep up to date on current industry, competitive and other relevant news to maximize our content relevancy, develop opportunistic content, and adapt our language and approach.
  • Responsible for keeping our key partners informed on the latest communication initiatives through email, meeting and written communication.
  • General team support:
    • Schedule meetings, prepare meeting materials, create agendas and , take notes/minutes
    • Be knowledgeable in use of all platforms to assist in posting, community management and metrics reporting
    • Conduct research and benchmarking projects to provide valuable insights to team
    • Work confidently under tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 5 -7 years of writing, editorial and/or communications experience
  • Previous experience in corporate communications, executive communications and/or editorial storytelling

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing

Skills:

  • Ability to write clear, concise content for all communications that reflect a consistent overall tone with understanding of key audiences
  • Be a comfortable copy editor with strong grammar skills
  • Work confidently under tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to manage / develop relationships across groups and functions at all levels of the organization including senior leadership
  • Strong project management skills and have the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Optional but preferred: proficient in all or some of these programs; Monday.com, SocialChorus, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Populo, Google Analytics, Meltwater, Box, Brightcove, Bitly, Riverside
