Photo editor jobs are for editors in charge of the photographers and their main job is choosing which photos go in which section and making sure it meets the standards that have been laid down for photo publication. A news photographer with a few years of experience can become a photo editor. A photo editor should be able to use the latest computer applications such as Photoshop and Coral.The main requirements to be a good photo editor are to have an eye for detail and being creative. The photo editor also has to be able to manage multiple project deadlines, be creative and have a flair for writing under deadlines. The major job markets for Photo Editor Jobs are concentrated in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. but opportunities are available everywhere.
